Havdalah, Tu B'shvat and the letter Gimmel!

Painting with spice. Children chose different spices to put in paint and painted their Havdala candles with it.

Using our palms to help roll the balls of play dough into lines. we then put the lines together to form the letter Gimmel. The best part is that our play dough was made with cinnamon spice - we were all so tempted to taste it!!!

The children were excited to pick up different items in our circle time and tell us what its used for in Havdala.
We picked different spices and rubbed it between our hands and then smelled our hands. We practiced saying the bracha "Borei Minei Besamim". Children learned about the different herbs that grow in a garden.

We discussed the difference between Shabbat candles, Chanukah candles and Havdalah candles.

Once again we used spices for our art projects but this time we mixed it up with water and glue.
Gimmel Gumballs, children enjoyed decorating their puppets

Color the gumballs using do dots - this activity was a great eye hand coordination

we are getting really good at using glue!
Morah Danit helps us celebrate Tu B'shvat (birthday of the trees)

We are getting ready for Tu B'shvat, we are planting and cant wait to bring ours home!
We made our own wicks!!!we pulled apart cotton balls and rolled them back and forth until they became long and thin.

                                                        Which picture doesn't belong?
